The hotel and its team are committed to sustainability. In fact, it is paramount and can be seen in the many things we do at Beleza by the Beach. ‘Reduce. Reuse. Recycle’ is our mantra and we do it through our operations and encourage our guests to support us in the same. The entire resort has been built with locally sourced, eco-friendly laterite stones by the locals of the South Goan community. The property was built in a manner that incorporates the greenery surrounding it without disturbing its ecosystem.
Our vast gardens and plantations use recycled water treated at our very own STP plant. Giving back as much as possible to Mother Earth is our goal and we have been able to contribute to the same by not using plastic straws and making our own compost pit on site for recycling biodegradable waste. Even when it comes to leftover soap bars, we work with ‘Sundar’, an NGO to reprocess and distribute the same among slum children.
What’s more, we try and incorporate as many naturally recycled ingredients into the onsite products. From massage oils and insect repellents to papaya leaf-stem straws and more, we have always focused on minimizing our carbon footprint.
The staff at Beleza consistently indulges in sustainable tourism through activities like beach cleaning drives and in our spare time, we help the local communities by encouraging local village sports, cultural clubs and blood donation camps.
